The latest “Jane the Virgin” season 2 spoilers revealed that Britney Spears will be joining the cast in the premiere episode. The “Pretty Girls” singer will reportedly star as Rogelio’s Jaime Camil’s nemesis.

"We are so thrilled that Rogelio's 'nemesis' - Britney Spears - has agreed to appear on Jane The Virgin in episode 205," executive producer Jennie Urman told TV Line.

"Personally, after hearing about their long standing feud (from Rogelio's point of view), we are eager to hear Ms. Spears' side of the story, which we assume is quite different. #TeamBritney"

Several news outlets speculated that Spears appearance will eventually help "Jane the Virgin" get higher ratings. Season 2 spoilers hinted that Rogelio's alleged longstanding feud with the pop diva will eventually draw more viewers. This is not the first time that Spears has agreed to guest star on a TV sitcom.

"Spears has brought a significant ratings bump to many of the shows that she has appeared on. Her guest-starring stint on 'How I Met Your Mother' was considered as one of the moments that helped to bring that show into the mainstream," reported Carter Matt.

"She also appeared on one of the highest-rated episodes of 'Glee' in their first tribute to her music. Spears may not be as famous necessarily as she was five or ten years ago, but she is one of the biggest pop stars of our time and it's a huge get for 'Jane the Virgin.'"

Britney Spears also recently tweeted about the guest appearance. She even called "Jane the Virgin," "one of her favorite shows ever."

"See u at the Marbella Hotel soon, @hereisgina @jaimecamil! Guest starring on one of my favorite shows EVER @CWJaneTheVirgin #DreamComeTrue," she posted.
