Lee Da Hae Will Star In A Korean-Chinese Drama

Lee Da Hae is considering another acting project that will be filmed at least partially in China. The actress is discussing the possibility of playing a leading role in the Korean-Chinese drama tentatively titled "The Couple of the Century."

"We received the synopsis for 'Couple of the Century' and are currently positively reviewing it," said a representative from her agency FNC Entertainment.

In the upcoming romantic comedy she will play an actress. When the actress is a rookie she meets an actor on a variety show and they don't care for each other. Years later, she is a success and has all but forgotten that actor. When her father dies she is surprised to discover that she must marry within three months if she wants to inherit his wealth. She meets the actor again and decides that she will marry him. She still does not like him but he's convenient. They are married in name only but that can't last too long. Either they will have to fall in love for real or break up.

Usually when Korean actors appear in Chinese dramas their lines are voiced over. But that won't be the case with Lee Da Hae as she fluent in Mandarin. In fact she is the first known Korean actress say her lines in Mandarin She began studying the language in 2005 when her k-drama "Green Rose" was broadcast in China. She also appeared on Chinese variety show "Happy Camp" this year and did not need an interpreter. She also appeared in the Chinese drama known as "Love Recipe" with Taiwanese actor Joe Cheng.

Lee Da hae is very popular in China and has three million fans on her Weibo microblog.

She has spent so much time in China that rumors began circulating that she was dating Chinese actor Lee Yi Feng, who also appeared in "Love Recipe." Both FNC Entertainment and Lee Yi Feng denied the rumors.

"The Couple of the Century" begins filming in August and it is not yet known who her leading man will be this time. The drama is expected to air in China in November and can be seen on the website Taobao.

Lee Da Hae is best known for her roles in "My Girl," "Green Rose," "The Slave Hunters" and "Miss Ripley."

Her most recent k-drama role was the 2014 production "Hotel King" with co-star Lee Dong Wook.
