Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are two of the brightest stars in Hollywood.

It was not surprising that their daughter, Suri Cruise, inherited her parents' superstar looks and possibly, their knack for the limelight.

And according to a report, Suri Cruise may be a step closer towards the direction of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' careers as the 9-year-old stunner was purportedly enrolled in acting class by her mom.

"Katie loves the idea of Suri taking acting," an insider reportedly told Dish Nation. "Growing up in the spotlight has made Suri a little closed off and shy, and Katie thinks that learning acting will help her become more confident and bring her out of her shell."

Does Suri Cruise's acting lessons an indication that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' daughter will be starring in a new movie anytime soon?

"Katie also loves the idea of Suri following in her acting footsteps - she'd love to get her some small roles in the near future," the source dished out. "Tom [Cruise] is on board also, as long as it makes Suri happy."

It may not be clear whether a project is in the works for Suri Cruise, but according to the insider, Katie Holmes reportedly doesn't want her daughter to be forced into anything she doesn't enjoy.

"She will be careful not to overwork her. She wants acting to be a fun extra-curricular activity for Suri," the insider added.

"Katie still wants her to be a kid, but believes acting is a great art to learn, and will prove to be beneficial for Suri in the long run. She thinks it'd be hilarious if she got to play Suri's mom in a feature film one day!"

With Katie Holmes allegedly making the major decisions when it comes to Suri's affairs, Tom Cruise doesn't seem to have anything against his daughter entering show business.
