The new trailer for Victor Frankenstein is out! James McAvoy plays the mad scientist alongside sceptical sidekick Daniel Radcliffe in the gothic horror film.
Victor Frankenstein is one of the best loved horror stories of all time, Daily Mail reported. Mary Shelley's 19th century novel is given a new modern edge with twists in its big screen adaptation. The Paul McGuigan-directed version stars James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe.
The British actors declared they were 'very, very proud' of the film in a trailer preview, describing the movie as a 'very new twist on a very legendary story,' reported the Mail. The trailer hit the Internet on Tuesday.
Victor Frankenstein is narrated from the perspective of the young troubled Igor. The movie focused on his redemptive friendship with a medical student named Victor.
During the San Diego Comic-Con this summer, Director Paul McGuigan revealed that the film is a 'love story between these two guys who need each other.' The bromance between the pair takes centre stage. This comes across vividly in the trailer. The movie also boasts an element of comedy, a surprise in the "horror movie" genre.
The James McAvoy-Daniel Radcliffe featured "Frankenstein" is a drift from the original version of the story. Victor "Frankenstein," in its first form centers on the experiment in which he tries to create a creature and doesn't include Daniel Radcliffe's character Igor. Igor was introduced in the 1974 parody adaptation film "Young Frankenstein" as Victor's hunchback assistant.
"In the novel, Victor flees, repulsed by his creation," according to the Mail. The intelligent creature who was formed out of the experiment is forced to make his own way in the world."
Jessica Brown Findlay, Andrew Scott and Freddie Fox are also in the film. And It was written by Max Landis.
"Victor Frankstein," the movie, hits cinemas on November 25.
