And now, Selena Gomez has opened up about her past relationship with Justin Bieber. The 23-year-old "The Heart Wants What It Wants" singer admitted that it was her famous ex-boyfriend who was the inspiration behind her new album, "Revival."

"It's difficult for people to separate us. The internet wants to freeze this moment in time and constantly repeat it," Selena Gomez told The Sunday Times, as quoted by Hollywood Life.

"I didn't think I was doing anything bad by falling in love. There's such an emphasis on people being the perfect thing and then destroying them because it's good press. Also throw in the fact that you are a teenager - it makes it more difficult."

Despite calling it quits, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are purportedly moving in the same circle. According to a previous report in July, the ex-lovers were allegedly spotted having a good time together and enjoying some PDA in a hotel pool side.

A photo reportedly taken by an eye witness showed Justin Bieber having his shirt off and Selena Gomez in a black shirt tailing him behind. Another photo showed Selena Gomez in a bikini and hanging out near the pool. The former couple's alleged PDA was not caught on camera.

Just a few days later, Celeb Dirty Laundry reported that amid getting friendly and spending time with Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez is allegedly dating One Direction member Niall Horan on the side.

In her interview with the The Sunday Times, Selena Gomez discussed that she's expecting from her next boyfriend.

"The next relationship will be something dear to me," Selena continued. "There is no way I will ever hide my life. I've been working my butt off. I'm dating, but I don't really want anything right now."

Despite admitting that she's dating, the actress-singer didn't confirm nor deny the rumors that she's dating Niall Horan.
