Emilia Clarke is one of the most popular stars of the HBO series, "Game of Thrones," where she plays Daenerys Targaryen.
So a lot of her fans were thrilled when she landed a role at "Terminator: Genysis," alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Some speculated that "Terminator: Genysis" could be Emilia Clarke's ticket to Hollywood - after all, she already has a fan base among "Game of Thrones" viewers.
But despite "Game of Thrones" being a huge step in Emilia Clarke's career, the British actress admitted that she wouldn't want to be known alone for her role in the TV adaptation of "A Song Of Ice And Fire" novels by George R.R. Martin.
"If being lucky means being able to work for many years seeking an opportunity, then yes, I've been lucky," Emilia Clarke said in a previous interview with Metro.
"Television gave me a boost, but I don't want people to remember me as Daenerys Targaryen from 'Game of Thrones.'"
Does the actress' statement that "television gave her a boost" mean that she wants to eventually transition to making movies and that "Terminator Genysis" is her stepping stone to make a name in Hollywood? It may not be hard to believe.
However, there is yet to be any news of Emilia Clarke getting another Hollywood movie project after her stint with Arnold Schwarzenegger.
An industry insider previously told Dish Nation that "Game of Thrones" star's services wouldn't be needed in the possible "Terminator" sequels, as her contract will allegedly be cut up for good.
"Sadly her acting ability has been called into question and has in part been blamed for the film's flop," an insider told Dish Nation.
"Of course it's not all her fault, but they basically don't want her back. They're saying she doesn't have the star power they thought she did."
