There are rumours about the original Guns N' Roses lineup reuniting. A new report revealed that the rock band was offered large amounts of money to reunite.
According to Alternative Nation, the original Guns N' Roses lineup got an offer of a few hundred million dollars in the mid 2000's to reunite again. Everyone in the band was on board for the reunion except the band's lead singer, Axl Rose, who opted to stick with his Guns N' Roses lineup and released Chinese Democracy in 2008.
Although there is no direct connection between the recent developments and the money offered a decade ago, it only shows that there has been demand from the music industry for a Guns N' Roses reunion.
Recently in an interview with Aftonbladet, guitarist Slash stated that he and former Guns N' Roses band mate Axl Rose are friends again. "It was probably way over due but it was very cool at this point," Axl Rose said. "Let some of that...Dispell some of that negative stuff that was going on for so long."
In other news, Guns N' Roses bassist, Tommy Stinson recently told Star Tribune that he has no idea what is the status of the group. Tommy has been the bass player since 1998, and recently got off the road with his original band, "Replacements." "I reach out once in a while to that crew of people - a lot of whom are also my good friends - but I really have no idea what's going on," Stinson said. "I didn't quit the gig or walk away from it. We just all sort of left it in Vegas," Tommy added.
Stinson's recent comment does not hint at the 'Appetite for Destruction' era Guns N' Roses getting back together but the fans are excited that the talks are on again.
