"Jang Ok Jung Lives for Love" Kim Tae Hee's love does not seem beautiful any longer.
May 28, the 16th episode of the SBS drama "Jang Ok Jung Lives for Love" was aired. During this episode, King Lee Soon (Yoo Ah In) and Jang Ok Jung's (Kim Tae Hee) romance taking another turn to become more complicated.
Until now, Jang Ok Jung's love for Lee Soon had been entirely pure and true. However, as she and her mother are continuously treated very disrespectfully, Jang Ok Jung's remaining innocence and purity begins to change. During this episode, Jang Ok Jung begins to create a deeper relationship with Lee Soon merely for the reason of power in the society.
Jang Ok Jung decides that she will risk everything to become Lee Soon's queen. As a part of her plans to remove Queen In Hyun (Hong Soo Hyun) from the palace, Jang Ok Jung purposely swallows poison. Jang Ok Jung's dramatic plan led to the death of Lady Kim (Kim Sun Kyung). When everyone starts to think that Queen In Hyun was the one responsible for poisoning Jang Ok Jung, Lady Kim takes the blame to take Queen In Hyun.
Lady Kim had been ill already but the stress and mental torments from this incident eventually led her to her deathbed. Jang Ok Jung had not planned for Lady Kim to die from her plans and tears up. Even Lee Soon seems to have begun noticing the different faces of Jang Ok Jung even though he had completely believed in her until now. Lee Soon relates this incident as well as the death of his mother to Jang Ok Jung and tries to avoid her for a while.
The current Jang Ok Jung is more fitting to be called Jang Hee Bin. Even though Jang Ok Jung tells the king, "No matter what I do, it is all for you, your highness" with tears in her eyes, viewers do not seem to be forgiving. The drama "Jang Ok Jung Lives for Love" should be re-named to "Jang Ok Jung Lives for Power."
