After a four-month maternity leave to take care of Princess Charlotte, Kate Middleton resumes her royal duties. The Duchess of Cambridge would also reportedly use this time to patch things up with her husband Prince William.

Kate Middleton may claim that the reason why she is not visible as of late is because she was taking some time off following her pregnancy. Multiple reports, however, suggest that she was only avoiding Prince Williams.

"The royal couple has been showing signs of marriage troubles over the past few weeks, which might be the real reason the Duchess has been absent from her royal duties and various social events," reported Celeb Dirty Laundry.

The publication added that Middleton originally planned to take a longer maternity leave. Queen Elizabeth, however, allegedly demanded that she return to her royal duties as soon as possible. It was said that the royal was not at all happy with how Middleton was taking criticism from her detractors.

In the coming days, Middleton will reportedly come out of her "isolation" to visit Queen Elizabeth in Balmoral.

"Both Kate Middleton and Prince William will attend the meeting the Queen demanded under the muse of celebrating the landmark of Queen Elizabeth becoming the longest reigning monarch," the publication added.

In other news, it was said that in this meeting, the Queen could finally talk to the royal couple about their extravagant spending. She was allegedly worried that Prince William was spoiling Kate Middleton. According to the International Business Times, the Duchess has already spent $6 million renovating their home.

In 2014, their overall spending was reportedly at $4.6 million.

"The duo have made headlines a number of times since their wedding over their wasteful spending," the source added.

"Queen Elizabeth is not pleased since the monarchy depends on taxpayer money to keep their lavish lifestyles afloat."
