Kate Middleton is busy planning for the christening of Princess Charlotte. It was said that she is planning a low-key event, similar to the one she had with Prince George. Prince Harry was reportedly ruled out as a godfather for the former does not have any concrete plans of returning from his trip to Africa.
According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, the christening of Princess Charlotte will only be attended by a very small number of guest: Michael, Carole, James and Pippa from the Dutchess' side of the family, Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, and Camilla Parker-Bowles will also be in attendance.
On the other hand, it was reported that Prince Harry will not make it to the event. The royal has already left for Africa and does not have any plans of returning just yet. Because of this, Kate was allegedly thinking of removing him from the godfather duties. It was said that Pippa and Williams will take on the task.
Meanwhile, it was said that the christening will be kept private as much as possible, with only around 20 guests in attendance. The royal couple purposely "snubbed" some of the other royals when they decided to keep the ceremony as family-focused as they possibly can.
"While the service inside the church will be private, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be pleased to welcome well-wishers into the paddock outside the church," a spokesman for the royal family confirmed, via CDL.
"The Duke and Duchess are hugely grateful for the warm wishes they have received since Princess Charlotte's birth - many of them from local people in Norfolk - and are delighted the paddock can be opened on the day of the christening."
The Archbishop of Canterbury will be the one to conduct the ceremony. Princess Charlotte will be wearing the same christening gown that Prince George wore.
