The upcoming 'darker' sequel to the "Fifty Shades of Grey" trilogy is finally coming full circle and more casting updates are coming out. At this time, it is still a mystery about who is going to play Anastasia Steele's boss, Jack Hyde.

According to The Inquisitr, Ian Somerhalder wanted to play the role of Christian Grey but eventually the role went to Jamie Dornan. Now it looks like, Ian would get another chance to play another major role. According to the Herald points via The Inquisitr, Ian would make a great choice since he has already played a dark and evil character in "Vampire Diaries" who may have different emotions that would make him easier to relate.

Recently it was also reported that Theo James can also play Grey's antagonistic counterpart. The actor is known for starring in action-packed "Divergent" series. Earlier this month, he even became the face of Hugo Boss' perfume campaign. The actor is photographed in black-and-white suite in the sexy campaign. Media outlets, like ExtraTV and Vanity Fair have reported that the new fragrance advertisement reveals that Theo could become Grey's counterpart in "Fifty Shades Darker."

According to "Fifty Shades" wikia, as a child Jack Hyde and Christian Grey lived in a same foster house. But apparently when Grey family adopted Christian, Jack harboured jealousy and resentment towards the Grey family for choosing Christian over him. Clearly, the character has a violent childhood and the character is perfect to become the antagonist to Christian Grey.

Earlier it was reported that "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" star Henry Cavill will portray the role of Jack Hyde but in an interview with USA Today, Cavill discarded this rumour. Henry Cavill even added that he never had any talk with the Universal Pictures or with the author herself.

"Fifty Shades Darker" is slated to release on February 10, 2017 in United States.
