The "Fifty Shades Darker" is reportedly facing budget problems which make it hard for producers to acceded to the alleged demands of its stars, Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, for a pay raise.
According to Showbiz 411, as shared by Movie Pilot, "Fifty Shades Darker" has been shooting "back-to-back" so it can "save time and money" due to budget constraints.
But multiple rumors claimed that Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, who were paid a measly $250,000 each for "Fifty Shades of Grey" which grossed nearly $600 million in the box-office, are asking for a hefty pay raise for "Fifty Shades Darker," to the tune of 7-figures to appear in the sequels.
"They're the faces of Anastasia and Grey and also the ones risking being typecast and having their careers - and marriages if you believe the gossip - affected by their somewhat controversial roles," it said.
It's been reported that James Foley will help the sequel to the hugely successful film to replace Aaron Taylor-Johnson who just couldn't see eye-to-eye with novelist E.L. James on the movie adaptation of the erotic series.
James Foley's experience in "House of Cards" should bode well for both Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson as he will definitely put a new spin in the franchise.
Dakota Johnson earlier told Empire that she had a moment of apprehension after knowing that there's going to be a new director having developed trust with Taylor-Johnson.
"It's quite exciting," she said. "There was a moment of being afraid, because I didn't know what it was going to be like. I had an experience with Sam [Taylor-Johnson] and then that all went away."
"Now I'm excited. I think James is a talented filmmaker. How often do you get to reconvene with the same people and have a different spin?"
Dakota Johnson also said that she already met with James Foley, but as to the director's vision for "Fifty Shades Darker," the actress demurred, "You'll just have to see when the movie comes out..."
