Tim Cook Unveils Apple TV, iPod Pro, Apple Pencil, And New iPhone 6S; What Can You Expect From These Devices?

The new gadgets by Apple were unveiled during a press event Wednesday at San Francisco's Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. At the event, Apple's CEO Tim Cook unveiled two new iPhones as well as the new Apple Pencil, Apple TV, iPad Pro, and Apple Watches.

Apple Watch

Apple Inc., started the event by unrevealing the event with an update about the Apple Watch. The biggest addition to the new Apple Watch is a wrap-around brown leather Hermes band, which will go on sale in October. The iWatch itself now comes in gold and rose gold, and there are a number of variants to give new sporty look.

The smart watch was released in April and till now there are more than 10,000 applications that goes with it. Facebook Messenger's app will let the user send text, audio, and locations. iTranslate lets the user speak a word and get a translation. GoPro's app will work as a viewfinder for the camera.

iPhone 6S & iPhone 6S Plus

"While the new iPhones look familiar, team has changed everything about these new iPhones," said Tim Cook. Apple has updated its iPhone 6 & iPhone 6 Plus. The newly designed iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus are available in four different colors: silver, space grey, gold, and rose gold.

The new devices are made from 7000 series aluminum that the government use in building aircrafts. The devices are stronger than the earlier phones and is unlikely to bend.

The biggest addition to the new iPhone is a 3D touch screen, a new feature introduced by Apple trackpads and the Apple Watch. The new technology recognizes new gestures like holding and pressing.

The new iPhone will come with a 12-Megapixel iSight rear camera that let the user take 4K videos. The front-facing camera is now 5-Megapixel for better quality selfies. iPhone 6S and 6S Plus will have new A9 processor for faster fingerprint sensors.

Apart from upgrading the camera, the new iPhone will bring a new photography feature called 'Live Photos' that combines photos and videos. When you click a picture using this feature, the Live Photo will record a second-and-a-half video before and after the clip to make a video that may look like a GIF.

The new iPhones will cost the same as the last version of iPhones (starting at $650 and $750 for iPhone 6S Plus). Apple Inc. is going to drop the price of earlier versions by $100.

iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus will go pre-sale on September 12 and it will be available in stores on September 25. The new updated operating system, IOS9 will be available on September 16 for anyone with an iPhone.

iPad Pro

Apple has made the new iPad bigger and faster than earlier iPads. The iPad Pro has a whopping 12.9-inch screen. The screen has 5.6 million pixels - more than a 15-inch MacBook Pro that has a Retina display. The new iPod Pro will start at $799.

The iPad Pro has an all-new A9X 64-bit chip. The processor is 1.8 times faster than the previous CPU's of iPads. With the faster speed, user can edit three streams of 4K video at a time. The device is super thin, weighs just over 1.5 pounds, and has an amazing battery life of 10-hours.

"Why make an iPad with a bigger display?" asked Apple Executive, Phil Schiller.

Apparently, on a bigger screen, games and movies look better. The ?screen is big enough to have a full-size keyboard on the screen. Apple has also introduced their new keyboard that doubles as a cover.

Apple has also revealed their new stylus, Apple Pencil. Apple Pencil is a low latency stylus that feels like a real pencil. The pencil is especially for iPod Pro where one can write, edit, and share documents by third-party software.

Apple TV

For the very first time, Apple has launched their first ever TV. "We believe the future of television is apps," said Tim Cook before introducing the TV.

The latest Apple TV features a third-party App Store, a new remote control that lets the user access to Siri via Bluetooth 4.0. The TV runs on tvOS, which is based on earlier iOS and is built for the living room.

The device will start shipping in October and cost $149 for the 32 GB version and $199 for 64 GB.

The new black remote control features a glass touch surface on the top half, so one can access the Apple TV with swipes and other gestures. The Bluetooth remote has a built-in accelerometer and gyroscope. According to Eddi Cue, the remote can last for three months on one charge. With the access to third-part apps, user can use the device to play multiplayer games.
