Earlier this Friday, the "Avatar" star, Zoe Saldana joined the graphic novel adaptation of "I Kill Giants."
"I Kill Giants" follows the story of a young Barbara Thorson, who thinks that magical creatures are real and tries to cope up with life problems by escaping into that fantasy world.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 37-years-old American actress, Zoe Saldana is going to play the character of a school psychologist who tries to help Barbara Thorson to face her problems. With "I Kill Giants" under her name, Zoe Saldana has become one of the busiest stars in Hollywood at this moment. With five films in pre-production, "I Kill Giants," "Avatar 2," "Avatar 3," "Avatar 4," and "Life By Night;" one in post-production "Nina;" and one on the floor "Star Trek Beyond," Zoe Saldana indeed working day and night.
There are several production houses involved with the project at this time and the studio is taking the casting process very seriously. Madison Wolfe, the child star who grabbed the role of Barbara Thorson, the protagonist of the story, had to audition with 500 other actresses.
According to Empire Online! The author of "I Kill Giants," Joe Kelly has also penned the script for the feature film. According to Kelly, Barbara Thorson is a funny girl but she is totally into the geek land: the girl is obsessed with magical creatures and magical paths; in Barbara's imagination, Giants are real and they are coming to the world of hers to destroy everything. "It's her responsibility to stop them when they show up. This weird little fantasy life that she's going has started seeping into her life, and as we see things from her point of view, we see that she sees pixies and she sees signs in the clouds and other things that might be telling her that bad things might be coming," said the author.
"I Kill Giants" has no scheduled release date so far.
