"Fast and Furious 8" was Paul Walker's idea, "FF7" star Walker's co-star Michelle Rodriguez told People at the UNITAS Gala Against Sex Trafficking that was held in New York City on Tuesday
Earlier, the reporters had said that in "Fast and Furious 8" Paul Walker's character would be played by his brothers. Now, they reportedly said that "FF*" would be a tribute to late actor Paul Walker.
"(Paul) wanted to bring it back down to the core, which is the racing," Michelle told People during a tête-à-tête session. She added, "He ("Fast and Furious" star Paul Walker) was always complaining about the special effects and the blue screens."
Rodriguez reportedly said that Paul Walker had wished to put an end to the "crazy plot lines" and "exaggerated explosions," in the upcoming "Fast and Furious 8" movie. She revealed that "Fast and Furious 8" installment would attempt to live up to "Paul's wishes."
The 37-year-old actress told People that "Fast and Furious 8" without Paul Walker would be "bigger than ever." She said, "I think that's what Vin (Diesel) meant when (he said) his main focus on the next one will be trying to keep it true to that car audience,"
In addition to "Fast and Furious 8" tribute, Paul Walker's 16-year old daughter, Meadow had announced the launch of "The Paul Walker" foundation, The Christian Today reported. Reports said that the teen aims to provide grants as well as scholarships to "researchers in the field of marine biology."
"Fast and Furious" star Paul Walker's daughter took to Instagram to inform the "Fast and Furious 8" fans about the launch. She also shared an early photo of hers with her father "Paul Walker," and "I wanted to start this foundation because I want to share that piece of him with the world," she captioned it.
According to The Christian Post, Paul had studied marine biology before he had ventured into the movie industry. Reports said that in "Fast and Furious 8," Paul Walker's brother Cody Walker would be stepping into his shoes.
