Tom Hiddleston is trying to make things right for everyone in the film industry by showing moviegoers his naked butt in gothic horror "Crimson Peak."
According to Tom, it happens in most of the movies that women are more naked than men and he thinks that this is unfair. In an interview with E! Online, Tom Hiddleston said that this is right time to redress the entire balance.
"I didn't have a problem with the nakedness because I felt that there's always been a strain of sexuality in Gothic romance as much as there has been the fear of death and the threat of violence. It's a very violent film and I felt like we needed to balance that. So if we're going to bring up the violence we needed to bring up the sense of sexuality," Tom said.
"Crimson Peak" is set in early 20th century where Mia Wasikowska is an aspiring author who moves with her new husband (Tom Hiddleston) to his family estate in old England. In the family house of her husband, she not only sees ghosts and spirits but she also have to live with Tom's jealous sister-in-law (Jessica Chastain). Directed by Guillerom Del Toro, "Crimson Peak" will also include Charlie Hunnam and Jim Beaver.
Guillerom Del Toro is famous for directing visually stunning movies like "Pan's Labyrinth," and "Hellboy." Even Tom Hiddleston has said in a recent interview with that he was thrilled and honoured to be given a chance to work with such a maverick director.
In an interview with Vulture, Tom said "Crimson Peak" is absolutely beautiful because of del Toro's vision. "It's certainly the most beautiful film I've ever been in. It's a Gothic fairy tale, so it has an extraordinary integrity in its design. It looks like a painting, and every single frame you disappear into in a way that perhaps only Guillermo del Toro can imagine."
