Previous news articles claimed that Christina Aguilera purportedly wants to have a Vegas residency.
The former "The Voice" mentor reportedly thinks that performing in Vegas could prove that she's in equal footing with other bigwig music artists of her generation.
"Christina has sat back while people like Britney Spears and Mariah Carey have attempted to pack in the crowds in Vegas, and she knows that she can blow them out of the water," a source previously told Dish Nation.
"She loves her gig on 'The Voice,' but she's afraid that people are forgetting how talented she is and she wants to be back in the spotlight."
However, Christina Aguilera's manager reportedly thinks otherwise. Irving Azoff, who also manages Maroon 5 and No Doubt, said Christina could do a lot more stuff without a residency in Vegas.
"Not time yet," Irving said, as quoted by VH1 in their latest news report. "[Christina's] about to go back on The Voice, about to finish her record, about to do another guest shot on Nashville and the record's amazing."
"No disrespect to Britney [Spears] or to Jennifer Lopez, who is doing one, or to Shania [Twain], who did one, or any of them, but Christina's not peaked yet. She's in the prime of her career. We'll tour the world, but we're not ready to sit down in Vegas," the manager said.
Some readers found the statement of Christina Aguilera's manager quite conceited, suggesting that having a Vegas residency means that the singer's career has already peaked.
In other news, Christina Aguilera is reportedly getting ready to get back to "The Voice" season 10.
Previous news rumors claimed that "The Voice" staffers allegedly didn't want Christina back on the show because of her "diva" ways.
"She was really difficult to work with this season. Tensions between her and Adam were consistent, but she also just had a really bad attitude," a source close to "The Voice" production told Radar.
"She showed up late a lot, took forever for hair and makeup and was just very demanding."
