At Disney's D23 Expo this year, the movie, "The Incredibles" was reportedly announced to move ahead with a sequel in order to continue the adventures of the superhero family film.
In an interview with ComingSoon.net, "The Incredibles" director Brad Bird said that "The Incredibles 2" movie script connects with the earlier story.
"I had a bunch of ideas that I wanted to put in 'The Incredibles' but they just didn't fit. Certain ideas fit, but other things make you go, 'This is great, but I'd have to give up two other things that matter more to me to get this other thing in."
Brad Bird hinted that there were many ideas floating around while shooting "The Incredibles." However, the ideas were not implemented in the film. Few scenes and conversations did not make to the final draft of the story, but with the new script they are going to be implementing all of them.
"I wanted to come up with sort of over-arching idea that connected to the first film that went somewhere different. That's the one that took a little more time," he said.
"The Incredibles" was a 2004 computer-animated comedy superhero film released by Walt Disney Pictures. The film follows a family of superhero who are forced to hide their super powers from the world and are made to live in a quiet suburb. Worldwide "The Incredibles" grossed $631.4M against a budget of $92M.
At the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, "The Incredibles 2" was among the many movies announced by the studio which include films like, "Toy Story 4," "Cars 3," "Zootopia," Moana," and "Finding Dory."
In August 2015, the logo of "The Incredibles 2" was also released at the D23 Expo.
There is no official confirmation from the studio about the release date, Brad however mentioned that "The Incredbiles 2" will arrive before "Cars 3."
