The release of Bobbi Kristina's cause of death was reportedly delayed because of Nick Gordon's murder investigation.
The press release dated Sept. 26 from the medical examiner's office stated that it "has classified the cause and manner of Bobbi Kristina's death based on information available."
"What does this mean?" Celebrity Dirty Laundry said. "The police are investigating the death of Whitney Houston's only child as a murder - or at the very least manslaughter," it added. "Nick Gordon - Bobbi Kristina's boyfriend - is the number one suspect - though he hasn't been charged with anything yet."
But even as Nick Gordon's murder investigation is underway, Bobby Brown is adamant about the involvement of the 22-year-old on his daugther's death.
In regards to the civil litigation, we believe we know who harmed Bobbi Kristina Brown and his name is Nick Gordon," the singer's lawyer, Christopher Brown, said in a statement. "Mr. Gordon made headlines when he filed his Motion to Dismiss the lawsuit pending in Superior Court that seeks to hold him responsible for 40 million dollars in damages."
But the lawyer described the motion as "frivolous" and before it can be heard by the court, Nick Gordon withdrew the motion, "so that he could avoid having to give his deposition which was scheduled for the day he withdrew the Motion."
"I am not shocked at the withdrawal," Bobby Brown's lawyer said. "As we must keep in mind that Gordon filed a lawsuit to remove Bobby Brown as Bobbi Kristina's guardian, only to withdraw that lawsuit in DeKalb County Probate Court once he was served with a deposition notice."
Nick Gordon's lawyer has denied his involvement on Bobby Kristina Brown's death as alleged by the civil lawsuit and the murder investigation.
In a statement, his lawyers said, "Nick has been heartbroken and destroyed over the loss of his love and it's shameful that such baseless allegations have been presented publicly...Nick intends to expose it for what it is: a fictitious assault against the person who loved Krissy most."
