Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander are still mum about their breakup as rumors of the "Prometheus" actor and Jennifer Lawrence dating continued to circulate.
One thing is for sure, however, both the careers of the 38-year-old actor and 27-year-old "Ex Machina" actress appear to be unaffected by the split.
Alicia Vikander can next be seen opposite Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne for "The Danish Girl."
The synopsis for the film reads, "The remarkable love story inspired by the lives of artists Lili Elbe and Gerda Wegener. Lili and Gerda's marriage and work evolve as they navigate Lili's groundbreaking journey as a transgender pioneer."
She will also be seen in "Burnt" opposite Oscar nominee Bradley Cooper, "Tulip Fever" with Cara Delevingne and another Bourne movie with Matt Damon.
Alicia Vikander will also be seen with Michael Fassbender in "The Light Between Oceans" which they filmed prior to their split.
For his part, Michael Fassbender's star continues to rise as he has a number of films lined up, including "Macbeth," "Steve Jobs" and "Tresspass Against Us."
He will also reprise his role as Magneto in the much-anticipated "X-Men: Apocalypse," as well as the android in Ridley Scott's "Prometheus" sequel titled "Alien: Paradise Lost."
On its Sept. 16 issue, Us Weekly alleged that Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender have split after nine months of dating.
While the reason for the split was not revealed, Michael Fassbender might have given a hint of what that might be as he admitted to be committed to his job that his relationships suffer as a result.
"I'm kind of selfish with the hours that I put into the work," he told GQ. "I think the longest relationship that I've been in was two years."
Most recently, Michael Fassbender was rumored to be dating Chris Martin's ex-Jennifer Lawrence, who plays Mystique in "X-Men: Apocalypse." The two are also silent on the rumor.
