Many fans of Britney Spears have raised an eyebrow on Christina Aguilera's alleged Vegas diss directed towards the "Toxic" singer.
According to a news report released a couple of weeks ago, Christina Aguilera's camp may have suggested that Britney Spears' Vegas residency may be an indication that the "Hit Me Baby One More Time" singer's music career has "peaked."
As quoted in a previous news report, Christina Aguilera's manager Irving Azoff, said the "I Turn To You" hit maker can do a lot more stuff without a residency in Vegas.
"Not time yet," Irving said, as quoted by VH1 in a previous news report. "[Christina's] about to go back on The Voice, about to finish her record, about to do another guest shot on Nashville and the record's amazing."
"No disrespect to Britney [Spears] or to Jennifer Lopez, who is doing one, or to Shania [Twain], who did one, or any of them, but Christina's not peaked yet. She's in the prime of her career. We'll tour the world, but we're not ready to sit down in Vegas," the manager added.
Some readers found the statement of Christina Aguilera's manager quite conceited.
How is Britney Spears responding to the diss?
Instead of reacting to Irving Azoff's statement, it seems that Britney has chosen to show everyone that she's not affected of what other people think about her career, especially Christina's camp.
According to People's latest news, Britney and her new friend Kate Hudson has recently bonded with a few friends for "game night," as posted in the pop star's Instagram account.
"Two blondes... Too much fun. Loved hanging with you last night @katehudson!" Britney captioned a photo of her and the actress. ❤️
Britney and Christina have reportedly maintained a love-hate relationship over the years.
In 2012, Christina mentioned Britney when she was interviewed about working with producer Max Martin for the first time.
"Max is legendary in the business. He's known about me but we haven't crossed paths," Christina told Billboard, as quoted by Us Weekly. "I think when I came in you heard his name with Backstreet Boys, 'N Sync, Britney Spears - those records were the kind I wanted to stray apart from."
