Many were surprised over news that Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman allegedly did not attend the Scientology wedding of their daughter, Isabella Cruise, to British IT consultant Max Parker.
There are also conflicting reports if Isabella's brother, Connor, was in attendance at her wedding.
According to reports, Isabella's Scientology wedding was super private, with only a handful of guests to witness the beginning of her life with Max Parker.
This sparked speculations among fans - were Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman even invited to the wedding of their 22-year-old adopted daughter?
According to a report, Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise reportedly chose not to go to the wedding because their daughter wants her Scientology ceremony to be low-key.
The Hollywood A-listers reportedly didn't want to attract unnecessary media attention to the wedding than needed.
"Tom picked up the bill and paid for everything, but it was decided that neither he nor Nicole should attend as it would have turned the whole event into a circus," a source reportedly said, as quoted by Daily Mail.
"Nicole was actually involved with the wedding preparations and she did have a private dinner with Bella and Max. But she didn't go to the ceremony. Also, the animosity between Tom and Nicole was probably a factor," the insider added.
Another source confirmed this information by saying that Tom Cruise allegedly didn't want to steal the attention from his and Nicole Kidman's daughter on the day of her Scientology wedding ceremony.
"Tom is filming a new film that is taking time and millions of dollars not to mess up scheduling, along with that he also didn't go to the wedding because it was his daughter's wishes and he knows that if he went it would be all about him," a source reportedly told Hollywood Life.
"Paps and guests would have made it a less special day had they been focusing on Tom."
