Lewis Hamilton commented on Red Bull's decision to discontinue Formula 1 as a "really odd" decision to make.
Red Bull that won four consecutive drivers' and constructors' world championship titles between 2010 and 2013 has announced lately that they will not take part in the Formula 1 next year if they could not find a competitive engine for the upcoming season. It is to be noted that Red Bull has been a part of the sport for 11 years now, reported The Guardian.
As far the engine suppliers, Red Bull's tie-up with Renault will come to an end this year and the company's only option Ferrari other than Mercedes has already announced that they are not participating in the following season. Meanwhile Dietrich Mateschitz, Red Bull Team's outspoken owner has noted that the company has marked a deadline till October to decide whether they are in or out of the sport.
"It seems really odd for me, having witnessed Red Bull's success, and then the moment that they don't have success, it is like they have been upset about it but I have not seen that with any other team," said Formula 1 driver, Hamilton on Red bull's decision to quit the sport.
Hamilton also noted that he has witnessed Ferrari losing the championship after enjoying success but he has not heard them complaining the next year. He also noted that in case of failure one has to keep pushing hard towards success and not give up at once.
"They have great drivers, great pedigree, they have had incredible success and they still have a pretty awesome car," noted Hamilton about the Red Bull team.
"All those people who have a job, you're saying you are going to get rid of all those people through something that is not the biggest thing? They can still have success. They just have to work hard at it," he added, reported BBC.
