The NBA trade rumors are buzzing lately with the possible reunion of the Morris brothers, while Tristan Thompson might reportedly end up in a Phoenix Suns uniform.
According to Vince Ellis of the Detroit Free Press, as shared by Bleacher Report, the Pistons are interested in taking on the contract of Phoenix Suns forward Markieff Morris to reunite him with his twin brother, Marcus.
"I think the Pistons will field the best team they've had during this playoff drought. But with the Eastern Conference getting better, will that be enough to snap the longest streak of not making the playoffs in the conference?" he said.
He went on to add, "Right now, I'm leaning toward no. So I will guess 35, 36 wins - just missing the playoffs. I reserve the right to change my mind before the season opener. I will guess Brandon Jennings is traded. For who? No way even guessing that, although I gather the Pistons are monitoring the Markieff Morris situation in Phoenix. There is interest there."
Markieff Morris was the subject of several trade rumors after he blasted the Phoenix Suns management for shipping of his twin brother, Marcus.
"One thing for sure, I am not going to be there," he told the Philadelphia Inquirer during the offseason. "If you want to put that out there, you can put that out. I don't give a [freak]. I am not going to be there at all. That's just what it is."
Meanwhile, over at the Cleveland Cavaliers, rumors are circulating that Tristan Thompson might be traded to the Phoenix Suns in a three-team deal, also involving Markieff Morris.
Under this scenario, Tristan Thompson will go to the Suns, Markieff Morris will be shipped off to Orlando Magic, which then trades sweet-shooting Channing Frye to the Cleveland Cavaliers giving Lebron James another stretch four.
