When a kdrama actor is ready to publicize his next project, it helps if his famous older sister can lend a hand. Actress Kim Tae Hee has done just that by spreading the word about her younger brother actor Lee Wan's latest project.
She recently posted some photos and a message about her brother.
"I was at work when I coincidentally saw my brother filming," said Kim Tae Hee, who recently starred as Jang Ok Jung in the drama "Jang Ok Jung."
Filming must be such a commonplace event in a family with such famous siblings that they don't bother to tell each other when the cameras might start rolling. His new project is an Internet drama "It's Not Over yet," which can be seen online.
"The moment I got home I looked it up on my phone," she said. "I have watched four episodes of "It's Not Over yet" already. I love the plot so far. It reminds me a little of 'Love Letter.'"
"Love Letter" was a 2003 drama starring Lee Woo Jin and Cho Eun Ha.
Each of the six episodes of "It's Not Over Yet" is about 10 minutes long and can be seen on youtube, Facebook and other social media sites. Lee Wan plays Kim In Chul. He is in love with his best friend's girlfriend. He sacrifices everything for her when she can't get over the death of her boyfriend. It is Lee Wan's first role since leaving the army last year.
"My brother, fighting on your next project," she added.
Lee Wan has appeared in several dramas. He debuted playing the young Han Tae Hwa in "Stairway to Heaven," with his role winning him an SBS New Star Of The Year award. He then appeared in "Snow White," "Little Women" "Let's Go To The Beach, and played Park Shin Hye's step-sibling and tragic love interest in the heart-wrenching "Tree of Heaven."
His last roles before fulfilling military duty were in the dramas "In Soon Is Pretty" and "Swallow The Sun." He served active duty from 2010 to 2012. Since then he has been trying to reestablish his acting career. He was rumored to be a contender for the "Missing You" role that wound up going to Yoo Seung Ho. Earlier this year he appeared together with his famous sister at an autograph signing session for housing developer PNS, but aside from that he has kept a low profile.
In a 2011 poll, he and his sister were named in an online poll as the celebrity family members having the most "blessed genes."
