A woman in her 30s has been formally handed over to prosecutors on charges of intimidation and insult after repeatedly posting threats and offensive remarks directed at actress Han Ji Min on social media, Seoul police announced Friday.

As per Pann Nate, the Seoul Gangnam Police Station said the suspect, identified only as "A," was charged with 19 counts of online misconduct between September and October 2024.

These included 11 instances of insult and eight counts of intimidation, all allegedly made through her personal Instagram account.

Malicious Posts and Public Threats

According to investigators, the woman used her social media account to post inflammatory messages targeting Han, including threats such as: "I'll sabotage any film Han Ji Min appears in," and "Shut your mouth."

Several of the posts directly tagged Han as well as her acquaintances and colleagues, amplifying their visibility.

Agency Responds: 'No Settlement or Leniency'

Han's agency, BH Entertainment, responded swiftly to the threats by filing a police complaint and hiring legal counsel.

"We identified a pattern of ongoing malicious slander, personal attacks, and the spread of baseless rumors against our artist," BH Entertainment said in a statement.

"These actions are clear violations of the law. There will be no settlement or leniency. We will continue to pursue all legal measures necessary to protect our artists."

Han Ji Min, known for her performances in films and dramas such as Miss Baek and Our Blues, has not made a public statement regarding the case.

Authorities have not disclosed the suspect's potential sentence, but similar cases in the past have resulted in fines or suspended prison terms.

The case is now in the hands of prosecutors, who will determine the next legal steps.
