Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg's social media giant is ready to launch a slew of new features to make it more user friendly, expressive and addicitive.

LIKE WITH EMOTIONS

For all those users waiting for the 'dislike' button, Facebook is ready to introduce its 'Like' button with emoticons. No longer to be the home of just 'like', Facebook is soon to allow users to choose from any of seven reactions to posts, comments and updates. Users will be able to react positively, laughingly, lovingly, sadly or angrily, be wowed or yay-ed. The first test spots for these emoticons will be Spain and Ireland and later the rest of the world can enjoy, said Silicon Republic.

Video Experiences

Facebook announced in August that public figures will be able to share their live video with their fans via 'Mention.' Celebrities like Vin Diesel, Serena Williams and many more to make their fans happy. However, Facebook will be testing a number of new features that will give people more flexibility when watching videos. Users will be able to watch a video in News Feed, on-the-go or sitting down to enjoy multiple videos back-to-back, said Facebook Newsroom. Yet another feature of 'Suggested Videos' has already been tested.

For all those users who watch videos where sound cannot be turned on, Facebook's new features will include "Saved" to watch the video later. Facebook will also be bringing floating videos such that users can do multi-tasking while being on Facebook making the social media more addicitive.

'On This Day'

Facebook also rolled out its latest feature 'On This Day' for users to recall their activity during previous years on that particular date. However, it does give a preference to curtail sadness for this feature. 'On This Day' feature has control that lets users filter out specific people and dates so the feature doesn't remind them of those bits of nostalgia that they'd rather not revisit, said Engadget.
