There were mixed reactions from the fans when The Pokémon Company, announced in September that it will be releasing an augmented reality mobile game called, "Pokémon GO" next year in partnership with Niantic Inc. and Nintendo.
According to the Express, Niantic Inc. will use Global Positioning System (GPS) technology to allow access on locations around the world, but it still not clear where and on which level characters like Pikachu, Charmander, Squirtle will appear as part of the game. In an interview with Slate, Niantic Inc. representative Evan Dexter said that the team is working hard on the game, but they are still not quite ready to talk in more depth about the upcoming game.
Gaming mammoth, Nintendo has remained quiet on release date details. One of the popular speculation about "Pokémon GO" is that it will be out by November 20 in the US. It will be around the same time when Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon will be released, so it's unlikely that Nintendo will confuse its consumers with simultaneous launch of two of Pokemon games on two separate platforms.
Earlier this month there were rumours that The Pokémon Company is now halting the project, but a recent report from Kotaku suggested that "Pokémon GO" is still in development. The rumours have been abated but they have not yet replaced by the growing concerns from the game enthusiastic about the game's privacy and security.
"Pokémon GO" will come with a companion device, currently called as "Pokémon GO Plus," which will be connected via Bluetooth and it will let know the user using LED vibrations when a Pokémon will appear in the game.
According to VineReport, the official trailer released on YouTube reads, "Get ready for an all-new Pokémon experience! Pokémon GO opens a universe of Pokémon to find, catch, trade, and battle on your iPhone or Android device! With Pokémon GO, you'll discover Pokémon in a whole new world-your own! Pokémon GO will use real location information to allow players to experience catching, trading, and battling Pokémon."
"Pokémon GO" will be available for iOS and Android sometime in 2016.
