Years after his days as Noel Crane on "Felicity," Scott Foley is once again making women gush from his role as Jake Ballard in "Scandal."
A lot of "Scandal" fans have hated Jake Ballard when he was first introduced in the show during season 2. After all, it's not easy to like a character whose loyalty was quite suspicious and who was trying to break up the main love team of the show - Pres. Fitzgerald Grant, played by Tony Goldwyn and Olivia Pope, played by Kerry Washington.
And yet, Scott Foley's character made fans fall in love with him episode by episode. "Scandal" viewers who are rooting for Olivia Pope to end up with Jake Ballard, or those who call themselves members of "Team Olake," love how the former B613 command seems to be a stable and reliable character in the Shonda Rhimes political drama.
ABC's Caroline Langella even counted down seven reasons why "Scandal's Jake Ballard Is the Perfect Relationship Guy," which included "He'll be emotionally available" and "He'll come to the rescue."
The article earned response from fans, further echoing that Scott Foley's character should indeed be given more focus on the show.
But will "Team Olake" get what they're asking for?
It may not be clear as of the moment, but some fans are just happy to see that Jake Ballard is back on the show despite saying last season that he's letting go of Olivia Pope and that his mission is accomplished.
Bustle previously pointed out that Scott Foley's character now seems to be an "honorary gladiator" on the show, hanging out with Quinn Perkins and Huck in the office of Olivia Pope and Associates.
"I'm hoping Jake will be around for this kind of stuff all season long, even if it does look like Olivia will continue to stomp on his heart," Nicole Pomarico wrote in the article. "But really, would it be Scandal if she wasn't?"
