Chet Faker new album "EP Work" is being made in collaboration with a British DJ Marcus Marr.
Faker who is now donning a new look is returning with a new track "The Trouble With Us" with the DJ Marr. The London-based DJ Marr and Faker are teaming up for the new single "The Trouble With Us" from the album "EP Work". The new single is slated to be released on October 14, 2015, according to mxdwn.com.
Faker's soulful voice and Murr's funky dance beats together is nothing less for a rare combo and definitely shoots up curiosity and expectation. Earlier this year the duo spent four days together for a recording session in Marr's South London studio. The Brooklyn-based, Australian producer Faker and Marr penned down the lyrics and produced four songs together which will be out in Chet Faker new album "EP Work."
"Nick posted my song on Twitter. I messaged him and said thanks and a conversation started - all nerdy stuff about recording processes. Pretty soon we started exchanging song ideas in voice memos. He then suggested maybe we try and do something together," said Marr referring to Faker whose real name is Nicholas Murphy, reported Billboard.
Chet Faker new album "EP Work" Will Be Released In December
The upcoming album "EP Work" will be released under Faker's own label -_rds/Downtown Records On December 4, 2015. Faker who is well known for rendering emotional songs in a funky tone with warmth and intimate feel always makes it a point to write and produce all the tracks himself.
Faker's critically acclaimed "Built On Glass" released in spring 2014 topped ARIA Albums Chart as well as fetched two prestigious awards for him. In Australian recording industry's flagship awards ceremony Faker was awarded the best male artist and best independent release. On the other hand Marr who released his records through DFA Records bagged "Best Dance Tracks of 2013" by SPIN for "The Music."
