Tinashe's Playboy photos debuted online today. According to a report from E! Online, the young songstress' non-nude photo spread makes it seem like she is leading the adult magazine's new direction.
The "All Hands On Deck" singer's images showed her in a variety of sexy pieces. Among the items that she wore were a zippered sports bra, color blocked undies and even a pair of camouflage briefs.
Tinashe's Playboy photos is the first feature released after the famously nude publication announced that they will no longer feature naked pictures starting March 2016.
"Playboy will continue to publish sexy, seductive pictorials of the world's most beautiful women, including its iconic Playmates, all shot by some of today's most renowned photographers," the once-pornographic magazine said in a statement released early October.
Even though Tinashe's Playboy photos are not as revealing as the magazine's previous images, the 22-year-old R&B star opened up about sexuality in the highly anticipated feature. Parts of the interview were reported by Perez Hilton alongside images from the shoot.
"Sexuality has always been part of who I am as an artist-emphasis on part," Tinashe explained.
"I'm an all-around entertainer, my own creative force, and I'm bringing something fresh to the table."
Prior to debuting Playboy's more modest image, Tinashe was also recently featured in Vogue magazine. Wearing a sexy Chromat bustier-style black top, the young diva posed alongside reality star Kendall Jenner in the latest issue of the popular fashion publication.
Tinashe also shared an image of the shoot on Instagram.
"Honored to be featured in the new issue of @voguemagazine alongside @kendalljenner wearing @chromat," she wrote alongside the fashion photo.
According to a report from Uproxx, the online release of Tinashe's Playboy images came amid the release of her collaboration with Chance the Rapper. Entitled "All My Friends," the new track also features UK production duo Snakehips.
The Playboy debut of Tinashe is also said to be part of promotions for her upcoming new album "Joyride."
