Fans have been waiting for months for news of Zayn Malik getting his music career back on track.
The former One Direction star has been hinting that he's planning on launching a solo career, and many Directioners are waiting for Zayn Malik to release new music after getting a deal with RCA records.
Though things may be looking positive for Zayn Malik, the singer could have been adding millions to his bank account now, only if he didn't leave One Direction.
According to news reports, Zayn could have earned $32 Million by now if only he didn't leave 1D earlier this year.
However, there's a bunch who's cashing in on Zayn Malik's departure. The report claimed that Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Niall Horan have purportedly been splitting Zayn's supposed piece of the bargain.
"The money that One Direction has made is totally deserved," a Sony insider reportedly told Dish Nation, as quoted in their news article. "They have entertained millions of fans with their shows and their final CD will be a monster hit with the group earning from sales revenues and royalties on the hits played."
Despite Zayn Malik's departure, tickets for One Direction events are reportedly still selling like hotcakes.
"The merchandising with the final UK tour revenue will push their earnings each to well above $40 million. And of course all four guys are earning a cut of what would have been Zayn's share," the source revealed.
"No matter how you look at it Zayn is missing out on some huge paychecks for the final nine months of the band being together. He may be a multi-millionaire, but the types of figures that Liam, Louis, Niall and Harry are pulling in are very impressive."
Despite getting left out on hefty earnings, it doesn't seem that Zayn has any intentions of returning to the band.
Zayn Malik left One Direction earlier this year allegedly because of too much stress and pressure. The rest of the band respected Zayn's decision to leave the group.
"We're gutted that Zayn chose to leave, but now after a few performances as a four piece, we're feeling confident and are determined to carry on stronger than ever," Liam Payne then told The Sun as quoted by People in a previous news report.
