Carrie Underwood admitted her son does not get to spend enough time with her. According to a report from KSL.com, the country superstar opened up about getting "mom guilt."
Last February, Carrie Underwood gave birth to her son, Isaiah Fisher. She and her NHL player husband, Mike Fisher, both have hectic schedules that keep them away from their firstborn for most parts of the day.
The 32-year-old singer explained how this has caused her to question her work-life balance.
"I think mom guilt is rampant in my life," the "Jesus Take The Wheel" singer confessed.
"I am sure it is in any mom's... I still constantly wonder, 'Is this fair to him? Is my life fair to him?'"
"He's my No. 1 priority but it's just a question of how am I going to do this? I'll probably never find the answers to those questions," she shrugged.
Nonetheless, the Grammy winner said she and her Nashville Predators husband try their best to raise baby Isaiah well. In an interview with People, Carrie Underwood shared how her son will be raised with the same values she grew up with.
In spite of her conservative upbringing, the devout Christian has admitted that she supports gay marriage. Carrie Underwood said she wants her son to be open about it as well.
"[I want my baby to] have a loving heart toward people who are different," the Nashville songstress said.
"Mike and I talk about teaching him how to approach everybody in a loving way, even if they're not the same, and to try to say, 'You know what? God loves them, so it should be my job to do my best to love them as well.'"
"We want to go to church, not just for lessons and learning, but also to have a community and be surrounded by people who are just trying to raise their kids up good. Keeping everything as loving as possible, you know?" Carrie Underwood added.
