Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker revealed that he himself offered his friends $1 million to kill him after the plane crash incident.

Barker was one of the six passengers that boarded the Learjet which crashed while taking off from Columbia Metropolitan Airport in South Carolina in September 2008. Four of the Blink 182 drummer's co-passengers died on the spot, Adam Goldstein and Barker survived with severe injuries, according to The Guardian.

Goldstein who worked with Barker in the group TRV$DJAM though survived plane crash died in less than a year due to drug overdose. Goldstein is said to have died of taking cocaine in combination with pills prescribed for the injuries he sustained during the crash.

About 65 percent of Barker's body was burnt badly and he had to undergo 27 surgeries spending almost four long months in the hospital bed. The Blink 182 drummer revealed on an interview with ABC News that he pleaded his friends to take away his life not being able to survive the pain.

"I would call friends of mine and go, 'You know, I'll deposit a million dollars into whoever's bank account.' [Hospital staff] had to take my phone out of my room," said Barker, reported Independent.

Barker, who hasn't boarded a flight after the incident, sails on the Queen Mary II while travelling overseas. However he assured that he will take a plane if his children wanted him to accompany them. Barker reconstituted pop-punk band Blink 182 already and started recording all over again. The drummer who has teamed up with bassist Mark Hoppus and Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio said that he is happy to work with Matt.

"Matt's killing it," Barker said in an interview with NME. "He's fun to play with and write with. We're just getting started but I think we've got like four or five songs right now that I'm really, really happy with. There's a song called PunkRock Cliché which I love the most right now. It's about friends of ours and their relationships," he added.
