The fate of Kit Harignton's Jon Snow on "Game of Thrones" season 6 after he was stabbed during the final episode of the fifth season for the HBO hit series.
Now, Rose Leslie-who played Jon Snow's on-screen wife Ygritte on the show-has given her own take on all the rumors regarding Jon Snow's death.
In an interview with Huffington Post, she said that Kit Harington's character is "pretty dead."
"It's a tricky one because I think the beauty of that show as an audience member you're never too sure who is going to die and I was like everyone else -- screaming at my television screen -- when the ending of the show happened with season 5," she added.
"I think he's dead," she said. "He's deader than dead."
Rose Leslie and Kit Harington dated after meeting on the set of "Game of Thrones" but they split last year.
In another interview with Spinoff, Rose Leslie thumbed down the suggestion that she's coming back to "Game of Thrones" season 6.
"Certainly not in a flashback or a dream, because Jon Snow is dead," she said. "I don't know why there would be any reason to go back. But I did actually - whilst shooting all those years ago and whilst Ygritte or her dummy was being burnt on a pyre - I was like "OK, well there's no way I'm coming back now! I'm pretty dead."
But fans refused to believe that Jon Snow is really dead, citing hints in George R. R. Martin's books about the possibility of his resurrection.
Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) also said that Jon Snow is dead.
During an interview for Christian O'Connell on his Absolute Radio breakfast show, as shared by Daily Mail, the 18-year-old appeared to be exasperated in answering the same question over and over again.
"All the time people are asking me if Jon Snow is alive and the answer is no! He's dead! I promise," she said. "I think you're in denial about it for a long time when you see the death of a big character but I can't help but think it makes for such a great storyline!"
"It keeps you coming back for more. My favourite character was Ygritte. But then she died!"
