The Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys concert tour on 2016 is still not final. According to a report from E! Online, boy band heartthrob Nick Carter clarified rumors during a recent guest appearance on "The Ellen Show."
"It's just an idea," he clarified about their boy band teaming up with the hit British girl group for a concert series next year.
"There were talks in the past about it and we had done the New Kids On The Block and Backstreet Boys tour in the past. [So] I think this would be that last hurrah-the two big groups from the late '90s."
"Maybe do a world tour, stadiums, stuff like that and do a package together," the 35-year-old crooner detailed.
Since the plan is not yet final, Nick Carter asked "The Ellen Show" host Ellen DeGeneres to try and convince Spice Girls to tour with them on 2016.
"You could try to orchestrate this entire thing, and make it happen I mean Ellen is super powerful," he joked.
The talk show host then cheered for Spice Girls to finalize the highly anticipated concert series.
"Ladies, come on, what are you waiting for?" Ellen DeGeneres asked. "What an awesome tour that would be to have the Backstreet Boys and the Spice Girls!"
Nick Carter's interview on "The Ellen Show" was also reported by Celebuzz. The former teen heartthrob shared that the Backstreet Boys are just waiting for the popular British girl group to agree to the project.
"All the boys, every single one of us are on board and we would love to do it," he said.
"It's really kind of up to the girls, and what they want to do."
Nick Carter said he also discussed the Backstreet Boys and Spice Girls concert tour on 2016 with Melanie Brown, also known as Scary Spice.
"I am friends with Mel B," he said. "It's an idea that we have been pondering for quite some time and we thought it was a really cool thing to do."
