Apple TV 2015 Release Comes With Apps Store, Siri, Apple Care And More; Will You Buy Or Upgrade?

The Apple TV 2015 release was announced Monday, Oct. 26, and it can only be purchased online, said Gotta Be Mobile.

Apple made the announcement in September with the new iPhone 6s and iPad Pro. Though this fourth-generation set-top box is not 4k capable, it has apps, Siri and other significant enhancements over the old.

Now, upgrading to the new set-top box from Apple, and get either the 32GB or 64GB baffled some customers.

One of the things users do with an Apple TV is to play a video on their iPhone or iPad and watch it on the big screen HDTV. It can be done by swiping up from the bottom bezel to activate Control Center, tapping AirPlay button then the Apple TV source, tipped iMore.

The original Apple TV launched in January 2007 was run by OS X lobotomized version, had a hard drive and synchronized all its contents from iTunes. The second Apple TV in 2010 ran iOS, started to stream from the cloud and had NAND Flash storage. The Apple TV 2015 release does the same, plus the iOS digital assistant Siri, App Store and more, reported iMore.

Since the new Apple TV 2015 release has an App Store from which it can download apps like games, it comes in two storage options - 32 and 64GB.

Apple Care is another option that comes with the TV. It has no pricing at the moment yet, but previously it gave a second year of warranty, two years in-store and telephone support as well as hardware replacement or repair. For those who see Apple TV as cheap and can buy a new one when something goes wrong with the unit, or has some warranty service on their credit cards, do not need Apple Care.

However, for those who want to stay worry-free for the next two years, and just call Apple or go to its store to have their Apple TV issues taken care of, Apple Care is good for them.
