Joo Won is famous for developing crushes on his co-stars. He confessed to liking actress-singer Uee when they appeared in "Ojakgyo Brothers." In another interview he said that he wanted to date Choi Kang Hee after they appeared together in "Level 7 Civil Servant." Unfortunately, Choi Kang Hee does not date actors.

In an interview with Singles magazine, he said the best thing he got out of his appearance in his most recent drama "Yong Pal" was working with actress Kim Tae Hee.

"She's not only pretty looking but she has a nice personality. She's more appealing the more you look at her."

Part of why he makes such a believable romantic lead is that he admits to developing feelings for his leading ladies. And his feelings can help make drama romances more believable.

When he was recently interviewed for Naver TV, he was again asked about the likelihood of his developing feelings for his co-stars. Did he ever wish an onscreen romance would turn into a real-life romance?

"I wish," he said.

In the interview he admitted to developing romantic feelings for his co-stars.

"I do really like my co-stars when I'm acting," said Joo Won. "As a person, as a partner, and as something beyond that. Since I really like her romantically, it's probably obvious in the way I look at her. I really like working with co-stars who allow me to feel that way naturally."

Joo Won occasionally develops feelings for his co-star to the extent that he gets jealous.

"I do love them and I get jealous, too. Whenever I feel that way, I have to control myself."

Admittedly, he is quite a romantic. His choice in movies underscores what a romantic he is.

"My favourite movies are those like 'Romeo and Juliet' or 'Twilight.' The actors' eyes are completely different after they fall in love. I want to show viewers those eyes, too."

Fans might agree that he does.

Joo Won is best known for his roles in the dramas "Bridal Mask" and "Good Doctor" and the film "Fashion King."

Joo Won's new movie, "It's Him," opened October 27. His "Yong Pal" co-star Kim Tae Hee attended the premiere to support him. In the film he plays a man who wants to find his sister's killer. The film earned first place in ticket pre-sales.
