Farrah Abraham news reported how a transsexual slur was thrown at the "Celebrity Bog Brother" cast member.
According to a report from Metro UK, the TV show is currently being probed by TV watchdog Ofcom after LGBT groups reacted to the alleged discrimination.
The exact show is "Celebrity Big Brother" spin-off series "Bit On The Side." The Channel 5 show follows the broadcast of the main program.
In a featured segment called "Do You Know Who I Am," members of the public are presented with celebrities. They then need to guess via multiple choice selection what the said person is popular for.
One episode showed how contestants were made to guess what "Teen Mom" star Farrah Abraham is famous for. The 24-year-old reality star has been part of MTV shows such as "16 and Pregnant" and "Teen Mom," which documented Farrah Abraham's life as a single mother to her now six-year-old daughter, Sophia Laurent Abraham.
However, members and supporters of the LGBT community cried foul when one of the multiple choice options for Farrah Abraham included "winning a transsexual contest."
"We are concerned that this presented being a transsexual as a joke," a complainant pointed out.
Ofcom said that they will investigate and assess if "Celebrity Big Brother" did discriminate LGBT members with the joke.
"We're investigating whether potentially offensive comments in this programme were justified by the context in which they were presented," a rep said.
The said transsexual slur came after the former MTV personality was defended by her dad for being tagged as a porn star.
Per a Farrah Abraham news reported by OK Magazine, Michael Abraham recently defended his daughter from being judged for doing adult films in the past.
"Farrah is not a porn star," he said.
"A porn star is a person that has made countless adult movies and works and invests major time in that industry to make more and more movies."
"Yes, Farrah's adult movies are some of the highest money-earning videos in history, but she is not a porn star," Michael Abraham added.
Farrah Abraham made news a few years ago for making sex tapes. Now that she allegedly considers those adult movies as a huge "mistake," Michael Abraham said he and his family have forgiven his daughter.
"We practice unconditional love, forgiveness and hope in our family," said Farrah Abraham's dad. "We have moved on to new things."
