The BlackBerry phone running an Android OS, BlackBerry Priv is already up on Google Play store.
The device has been accepting preorders and so is closer to get into the hands of anxious buyers. In order to prepare for the launch, BlackBerry published some apps on Google Play which will can be installed once the Priv is available: BlackBerry Launcher, BlackBerry Keyboard, BlackBerry Services, BlackBery Camera, Password Keeper and DTEK by BlackBerry, reported Crackberry.
As the apps are broken out instead of being embedded at the system level, BlackBerry Priv will be free to issue updates in the future without waiting for device updates.
While BlackBerry Priv shows on Google Play, BlackBerry Central identified the functions of the six apps.
The BlackBerry Launcher for instance, enables easy turn of multistep tasks like sending an email or making a call put into a one-click task, using keyboard shortcuts, customize the device with icon packs and gives fast access to widgets. The BlackBerry Keyboard gives options so user can choose between a physical keyboard and a visual touchscreen keyboard. It offers easy text creation, auto correction, personal dictionary and next word prediction.
The MicrosoftexFAT for BlackBerry enables unlocking of the full potential of SDX Card for the BB smartphone. It supports SDXC cards up to 2TB and can save more than 4GB-sized file.
The BlackBerry Services is where all the BlackBerry applications are built. It provides enhanced productivity and security. The Password Keeper provides a storage of all the password details for easy reference. The passwords are encrypted and protected by a single password.
The BlackBerry Camera is optimized for camera on the BlackBerry Priv which is a Scheneider-Kreuznach, to take quality images with a small effort.
The DTEK by BlackBerry allows viewing and improving the level or privacy of an app's access to the camera, personal information and location. With the DTEK, the user will know at a glance the entire security rating for the device, control it and turn on an event logging to monitor what the apps are doing.
