The Caitlyn Jenner Halloween costume ramped up sales last weekend. According to a report, the "I Am Cait" star herself is not offended that her "Vanity Fair" magazine cover was copied for trick-or-treat season.

Forbes reported that the $49.99 Caitlyn Jenner Halloween costume was among this year's top four best-selling adult costumes from Spirit Halloween. The said brand is the US' biggest Halloween retailer.

The other costumes listed alongside the controversial costume were outfits of DC Comics' "Suicide Squad" character Harley Quinn, the twisted clown character from "American Horror Story: Freak Show," and Day of the Dead-themed outfits.

According to a report from The Wrap, LGBT and transgender advocacy groups protested against the Caitlyn Jenner Halloween costume when it was first revealed last August.

"There's no tasteful way to 'celebrate' Caitlyn Jenner or respect transgender people this way on the one night of the year when people use their most twisted imaginations to pretend to be villains and monsters," read a statement from the National Center for Transgender Equality.

A division of Spencer Gifts, Spirit Halloween still proceeded to selling the costume after explaining the reason behind it in an official statement.

"At Spirit Halloween, we create a wide range of costumes that are often based on celebrities, public figures, heroes and superheroes," Spirit Halloween said.

"Caitlyn Jenner is all of the above and our Caitlyn-inspired costume reflects just that."

Caitlyn Jenner herself has explained that she is not offended that the look for her "Vanity Fair" coming-out feature was used as a Halloween costume.

"I'm in on the joke. I don't think it's offensive at all," the 65-year-old former Olympian said.

"I think it's great. To be honest with you, I think it's great - except they could have a better looking outfit."

According to a report from E! Online, the former "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" patriarch turned transgender advocate has been in the news lately because of the renewal of her solo docuseries' "I Am Cait."

"Caitlyn's story has ignited a global conversation on the transgender community on a scale that has never been seen before," explained Jeff Olde, EVP of Programming and Development at E! Network.

"We are honored Caitlyn has chosen to continue to share her ongoing story with our viewers around the world."

Caitlyn Jenner herself is excited for the second season of "I Am Cait."

"I'm looking forward to continuing the conversation," she said.
