Couple Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes proved the split rumors wrong after they went to trick-or-treating with baby Esmeralda in Pasadena on Saturday.
This was the first time that baby Esmeralda was shown in public, although her face was smeared with white and black makeup in keeping with the skeleton costume.
"The family looked happy and relaxed in matching skeleton costumes as they went door-to-door in search of candy," Daily Mail said.
"Drive star Ryan, 34, looked every inch the doting father as he carried tiny Esmeralda in his arms.
The adorable toddler wore a cute skeleton dress costume and white tights," it said.
The article continued, "Like her famous mom, Esmeralda's face was painted white with a black nose and eyebrows for a spooky skeleton look. The one-year-old wore black Mary-Jane shoes as she cuddled up to her dad as the family strolled down the sidewalk."
Baby Esmeralda just turned one on Sept. 12 and Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes, who were hounded with split rumors the past few months, threw a bash for their adorable daughter.
"It was a quiet and casual party, not the typical celebrity 1st birthday blowout with vendors and other celebrity guests," Us Weekly reported. "It looked like it was just their simple style and more about family and close friends coming together to celebrate Esmeralda."
The source continued, "Some people brought wrapped gifts, including clothes and toys. One guest arrived carrying a rocking horse, and another had colorful plastic balls to fill a ball pit."
Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are raising baby Esmeralda without the help of a nanny.
"I'm open to the idea of having a nanny in the future," she told Violet Grey. "Esmeralda has two amazing grandmothers and incredible aunties who come over and really help me. But as far as a nanny or a night nurse, for me that part of being a mother at this early stage is the struggle of not being able to sleep and not knowing what I'm doing and really going through it with her and battling out those nights."
