Jung Ryeo Won is sorry. She is sorry that singer Park Hyo Shin was involved in scandal with her, even though she had nothing to do with starting the wedding rumors that linked them.

The rumors began when the Korean media outlet Kookmin Ilbo quoted anonymous sources saying the actress and singer were dating and thinking about marriage. Some of the rumors were prompted by a photo that showed the two celebrities posing for a photo among several friends.

On November 2 Jung Ryeo Won responded on Instagram.

"I was caught by surprise while filming. Talk of marriage that I have no knowledge of. I'm Park Hyo Shin's fan. I've even attended his concerts. However, I don't know his phone number and we've never met. No matter how much I deny the rumor, it doesn't disappear once it is in print. I'm taken aback by it and feel apologetic to Park Hyo Shin."

The actress, who currently appears in the drama "Bubble Gum" with Lee Dong Wook, wanted to let her fans know that the reports are not true.

"Thank you for those around me on the set who expressed concern for me. I'll calm myself down and get back to filming."

The Korea Times said Jung attended Park Hyo Shin's concert in December and a performance of his musical in May. Park played Erik in the musical "The Phantom," which started its run in April 2015 at Chungmu Art Hall in Seoul.

Park Hyo Shin's agency, Jellyfish Entertainment, said he did not remember meeting Jung Ryeo Won.

Her agency Key East Entertainment said the couple did not have a personal relationship and they wanted the media outlet that originally published the rumors to recant them.

"We requested correction from the news outlet, but they did not oblige. We request that the news outlet publish a correction to the article and an apology for negatively affecting Jung Ryeo Won. If our request is denied, we'll seek proper legal actions."

The news outlet deleted the original article.

Jung Ryeo Won appeared in "My Lovely Kim Sam Soon," "History of a Salaryman," "King of Dramas" and "Medical Top Team." "Bubble Gum is her second drama with Lee Dong Wook. They previously appeared together in the 2003 drama "Do The Right Thing."
