The pilot season of "Ash Vs Evil" Dead started off with a bang, along with a few exploding heads or so. But it also teased a mystery when "Xena: Warrior Princess" Lucy Lawless showed up.
Meanwhile, spoilers for episode 2 of "Ash Vs Evil Dead" reveal that the FBI will be hunting down Bruce Campbell's character, probably for the trail of blood he left behind and the answers to the question she's seeking.
Showrunner Craig DiGregorio teased that Lucy Lawless' character, who was not named on the pilot episode, is "definitely the hardest character, because she enters the show as someone who is inextricably connected to this world."
He explained, "Her family was the people who owned the cabin that Ash went to 30 years ago and read the book that the professor found. So she thinks Ash destroyed her family, because of all the death around him at the cabin."
Lucy Lawless will certainly show up as the show progresses.
"It's hard for the character to keep things away from the audience when you want her to be a big part of the show," the showrunner said. "So you learn some things about her early on in episodes three and four, and then in episodes seven and eight you learn even more. We did dole out her information pretty slowly, but there was a reason for it."
The synopsis of "Ash Vs Evil Dead" teased spoilers for episode 2 as it reads, "Special Agent Fisher is tracking Ash, Pablo gets his first taste of blood in a manic showdown, and a revelation changes Kelly's life forever.
The show stars Bruce Campbell as Ashley J. Williams, Lucy Lawless as Ruby, Ray Santiago as Pablo Simon Bolivar, Jill Marie Jones as Amanda Fisher and Dana DeLorenzo as Kelly Maxwell.
Watch out for more "Ash Vs Evil Dead" spoilers which will be published as they come along ahead of episode 2 on Saturday at 9 p.m. on Starz Network.
