Yung Berg's legal troubles mounted after he was slapped with a child support lawsuit after the rapper was offered a deal in connection to the assault case involving former girlfriend, "Love & Hip Hop Hollywood" star Masika Kalysha.
A civil court in Illinois ordered the rapper to pay almost $100,000 in back child support after the complainant, Brandy Flint, the mother of Yung Berg's son, accused him of having "blatantly ignored the court order."
"I shouldn't have had to go after him had Yung Berg and his lawyer showed up during the Oct. 19 hearing," she said. "We'll see what the judge says. The only person he's hurting is his child."
"Berg's official child support tally is at $99,386.75, and his $700 monthly child support order could be increased to reflect his current income," BET said.
Meanwhile, the former "Love & Hip Hop Hollywood" star was offered by prosecutors a plea deal on Yung Berg's assault case involving Masika Kalysha.
"Prosecutors from the Manhattan District Attorney's Office offered Berg the chance to plead guilty to harassment, which is a violation, not a crime, for his alleged assault on Tucker last year," said Bossip. "Berg would also have to attend batterer's intervention program in New York or Los Angeles."
The lawsuit was in connection to the alleged altercation between Yung Berg and Masika Kalysha in November last year, which started at the restaurant after his credit card was denied, and ended up in the hotel where he allegedly laid down a hand on her.
The controversy resulted to the rapper being kicked out of "Love & Hip Hop Hollywood," even with Masika Kalysha's claim in various interviews that Yung Berg didn't beat her up.
"Berg's lawyer Xavier Donaldson said he'd be interested in resolving the case, but only if prosecutors dropped the assault charges," Bossip added.
