A Guns N Roses new album is slated for release next year, according to published reports.
News of a Guns N Roses new album comes after guitarist Slash and vocalist Axl Rose decided to halt their long feud that kept the hard rock band apart.
"It was probably way overdue, you know," Slash explained according to Billboard.com. "But it's.... you know, it's very cool at this point. You know, let some of that, sort of, negative... dispel some of that negative stuff that was going on for so long."
Scott Weiland of the group Velvet Revolver has worked with Slash in the past few years and he thinks, "Guns N' Roses are getting back together," reported NME.
Incidentally, Guns N Roses guitarist was on an India tour during early November. He played a cultural extravaganza in Mumbai over the weekend and said he would like to work with Indian miusicians, NDTV said in an online report. He is also working on his own solo album. Slash has worked on a number of Michael Jackson gigs like "Dangerous," before hitting it big on the big stage with Guns N Roses.
In related news, Coldplay frontman Christ Martin said that Guns N Roses has influenced the band's new album, "Adventures Of A Lifetime," Music Times said.
Ex-Guns N Roses guitarist, Gilby Clarke said it would be great to have a new album and a reunite of the classic era lineup. However, Clarke, who enjoyed his tenure with the band for three years, said it is unlikely:
"No, I really don't. We've all heard the rumors. I actually didn't know the news that Slash and Axl had talked, and I see him all the time. I don't know. Obviously, it would be great for music if it did happen."
