Nina Dobrev is distancing herself as far away from her Elena Gilbert persona in "The Vampire Diaries" as Ian Somerhalder's ex-girlfriend had a pretend makeover for her new film, "Crash Pad."
On her Instagram, Nina Dobrev showed off what she might look like in a pixie as she shared a photograph. She captioned the image, "Prettttty sure I look better in Domhnall Gleesons hair than he does. And I clearly have more down time on set than he does. (emoji) #StuntWig #LateNightShooting #CrashPadMovie"
"Wig, no wig, bald...," one fan wrote. "You can't really go wrong."
"I saw it the other day," another commented of Ian Somerhalder's ex's new look. "She even looks good with this hair style and I don't even suit the one I was born with."
"Crash Pad" stars Domhnall Gleeson, Christina Applegate, Thomas Haden Church and Nina Dobrev.
"Gleeson stars as a hopeless romantic who thinks he's found true love with an older woman, played by Applegate - only to learn that she's married and that his fling is merely an instrument of revenge against her neglectful husband, played by Church," said Variety.
"He threatens to blackmail her by telling her husband but his plan backfires when the husband decides the best way to get back at his wife is to move in with Gleeson's character and adopt the slacker's life of debauchery."
"Nina Dobrev has been keeping busy since her departure from 'The Vampire Diaries,' but not so busy that she doesn't have time to try on a hot new lewk," said MTV News of Ian Somerhalder's ex.
The article described the posting as "forever [to] be known as the Ginger Pixie Incident of 2015."
Nina Dobrev exited "The Vampire Diaries" earlier this year, amid rumors that there was tension on the set between her and ex-boyfriend Ian Somerhalder over Nikki Reed. The two denied the rumors.
