Others wrote that they loved Park Jihoon's performance as Yeon Si Eun but didn't like where they were taking the story in Season 2. "I forced myself to watch Season 2 because I'm a Season 1 fan, but all it did was make me realize just how much of a masterpiece Season 1 was," a viewer commented on the Korean online community TheQoo.

Another fan remarked on the camaraderie between characters, saying, "Yeon Si Eun and Ahn Su Ho's relationship is it for me. It's a friendship that's even deeper and more heartbreaking than love."
However, not all feedback was critical. One viewer reflected, "The Yeon vs. Geum battle had me on the edge of my seat," referring to intense scenes that heightened the drama of the series.

While opinions are split, it continued to gain die-hard fans and had a positive impact at a worldwide level.
