Johnny revealed several less-known facts about himself to the public on stage. The actor was seen comfortable smoking continuously. Johnny said that he always stressed more on the dialogues, rather than worrying about all other direction details. Depp said he cannot stand himself on the screen as he hates doing that.
Johnny also said in the interaction that his entire focus is on the character development and that he tries to make a connect with the audience in the early minutes of the movie. He said it was quite a challenge to change appearance and wear prosthetics, but was confident enough to carry it well. Depp added that there is a vast difference in playing a real life character and a fictional character.

He also said that he never liked the process of auditioning and he was really very bad at it. He said, he once auditioned for Coen Brothers and ended it up at a disastrous note, which left him embarrassed.
