Ciara talked about her baby, Future Wilburn Zahir, and revealed how motherhood changed her.
According to a report from CBS News, the "Body Party" singer admitted that becoming a mother made her prioritize what really matters in life.
"For me, being a mom it makes you selfless and makes you realize there's so much out there in the world," she said.
"You think you have problems, but it's like, 'Really?' But don't sweat the small stuff."
Ciara explained how having baby Future made her less of a micromanager.
"I'm such a perfectionist," she admitted. "I can be like, 'This has to be like this. And this, and this and this.' But then you realize a lot of things that you thought mattered, they really don't matter."
"Like is my child breathing? Yes. Is my child happy? Yes. Do we have a roof off of our heads? Yes ... It's totally changed my life I think for the better," she explained.
Rolling Out also reported about Ciara's interview, wherein she shared how she makes wiser decisions even if she and her baby daddy, "Just Like Bruddas" rapper Future, did not end up together.
"It really put things in a much clearer perspective," Ciara said about motherhood.
"When it comes to making decisions, I can make my decisions with clarity now and know that I have to think them all the way through. Having my son has changed my whole thought process in a necessary way."
"It also makes you grow up, too. There's so many beautiful things that have come from my relationship with my son," she added.
Aside from Ciara prioritizing baby Future, the R&B songstress has also been focused on her relationship with NFL star Russell Wilson.
In a recent interview reported by Hello Beautiful, the diva admitted how she has been happier ever since she began dating the Seattle Seahawks quarterback earlier this year.
"He is more than the one, he is awesome," Ciara said about her current beau. "He is phenomenal. Life is awesome."
